Bonds of fate

I dare not tread this earth alone
For its walks are more treacherous than
The fiery bowels of Hades lair
I can not, nay, I will not
Walk this earth alone

Fate, O' Fate!
I will not!
I shall not!
Walk this accursed earth alone!

Your curse holds no power in this realm of mortals
A realm full of citizens capable of mangling your
Wretched sense of destiny
Chewing its virality and spitting it into the flames of destruction
I shall fight your tyranny till my last breath
For I shall not tread this earth alone!

Forsake me all that you want
Curse me all that you will
Outcast me to the furthest regions of the universe
Banish me to the depths of Hades' pit
I shall not cede my destiny to your morbid hands

Tear my dignity to shreads
Do what you will to my pride
Make my life the most miserable facade you can
Tear my self from the recesses of my soul!
You shall not have your way with me like a ravaging monster who preys on mortal souls
So help me I shall stand in battle and defeat thee!

My destiny is my own
No one can make me do anything against my bidding
For I am ruler over my actions
By the gods I so declare
I shall not tread this god forsaken hellion of a planet alone!

You

Deep in the night
I think of something
During the brightest day
I think of who?
When I'm chatting it up
I think of someone

When just pondering my day
My thoughts are centered on one thing
During my daily routine
I ponder about this beauty I know
While reading novels of interest
I wonder if my life with someone will be as adventurous as this

When I dream
My thoughts drift off to a kind and gentle wonder
Listening to music I
Hear that melodious voice
When looking through pictures
I gaze and smile at that beauteous face

I think you know who I think about
I think you know who I speak of
Because this poem, you should know
Is for none but...
You.

Chance

Opportunity lies in wake
for those who have the ability to wait
For those impatient and future unknown
Devastation and gloom unfold
Take that chance, grab that risk
Take lady luck out for a spin
Bat away fate
Backhand Destiny
Be the king of your fate
Grab the reigns of destiny!
Yell out! "O' fate! Thou dost control me no more!"
Screech to the heavens. "O' Destiny! Thou art cruel but thy shackles hinder me no more."
So don't back out but back in
Be not afraid and plunge right into the murky waters of the future!
Chance!

Purge

How does the day greet you?
I'm sure it's not well.
He treats you like an ornament hung up on his wall
I know I was wrong
To leave you that day
So why can't you see
That I want you back someday

You confuse me
You talk to me one day but forsake me another
I understand you're busy
But this is absurd
Talk to me
Please, try to make atleast some time for me
I want you to know I'm here
I want you back, don't you know?

Just leave him, I want to say
But that would be rude
And it would only push you away
But if I can not have you
Then please, just purge me of all emotion

Leave me devoid...
A gaping black hole...

Hallway of fate

The soft clack of elegant shoes can be heard
Approaching the door of ages
Walking down this hallway of fate
Many a feet have traveled down this narrow pathway
A lonely and despairing task, don't you think?
Reader if you do not wish to suffer the same agony
I suggest you stop reading, for it only gets worse
You see this person here is a special case, as good as they can get
A perky one was he, before he came down this fated path
But then tragedy struck him in the heart, why multiple times I would say
Oh look, here he comes, into view of that aged door.
His face sunken, body slouched, hair unkempt, oh what a mess
His physical appearance must be an almost perfect mirror image of the
Devastation on his heart. Miserable, melancholy, angered, distressed, hurt, longing, loving.
All of these emotions running inside his poor poor heart.
And so, some round here would say his fate is sealed
A lifetime of misery can be seen ahead of him.
But wait! A light glimmers off to the side of the hallway, just before that vile door
Hope has risen in this man, and he opens a gateway and changes his destiny
Everlasting happiness, instead of godforsaken misery.

Pain

I talked to you the other day
Oh wondrous friend of mine
A schism kept us apart for so long...
I was the one who was to blame
I was the one who gave you pain

We used to date, you and I
but my foolishness broke that bond in two
I wanted to apolgise for so long
I was the one who was to blame
I was the one who gave you pain

I finally told you that I was sorry
And asked, if we could make that bond anew
But you said that you would have to think awhile before you knew
I was the one who was to blame
I was the one who gave you pain

Oh now I see the truth, what you were hiding from me
You've found another, this I see
It can't be helped...I was too late
I was the one who was to blame
But now I am in the one in pain

I guess now I know that I did like you alot back then
But please, don't think this is your fault
My idiocy brought this upon myself
I am the one who is to blame
I am the one who caused my own pain

I want to end this depressive poem
With a statement of my own
I hope you are happy with him, don't worry about me for
I am the one who is to blame
And I am the one who has to deal with my pain

Hate

I hate you
I hate my feelings
I hate it all

Why won't this incessant rage stop?
Why won't this pain fade?
Why can't I stop being the fool that I am?

Constantly tormented
Constantly tossed around
Constantly pushed between indecisiveness

Leave me be
Just go away
What I need, is time
and lots of love
